Kevin Space is pleased to present the premiere of Sync Crop, a new piece by artist and choreographer Alex Baczynski-Jenkins in collaboration with Krzysztof Baginski, Jayson Patterson and Magdalena Chowaniec. The choreography stages the production of new subjectivities and desire by interweaving the carefully constructed late 90s/early 2000s figure of the boy band singer-dancer and pharmaceutical confessions. Sync Crop articulates dis/embodiment as experienced within the demands of communicative capitalism, its new economies of pleasure and affective alienations.

Alex Baczynski-Jenkins lives and works in Warsaw and London. His works have been presented in contexts including the Swiss Institute New York, David Roberts Art Foundation, Delfina Foundation, Basel Liste, Block Universe, Home Works Beirut, Whitechapel Gallery and the Sophiensaele Theatre. He is co-founder of artist-run project space Kem in Warsaw. He completed a BA in Contemporary Dance, Choreography, Context at the Universität der Künste, Berlin and an MA in Aural and Visual Cultures at Goldsmiths University, London. He participated in Ashkal Alwan's Home Workspace Program, Beirut.
