Kunstverein Kevin Space is pleased to announce the first solo exhibition by multidisciplinary artist Analisa Teachworth in Austria. The exhibition forms an entrance point to uncharted worlds through a new series of paintings and site-specific installation.

Alter expands on the artist’s interest in examining the relationships between experience, space, and borders through an investigation of various materials and forms. Teachworth’s practice, research, and writing, conscientiously developed over the past decade, address the collective liminal states, contextualizing intersections of dissociation, relation, and signaling emptiness. Her practice spans paintings, sculptures, installations, sound, and digital media.

Through an elaborative visual language that nurtures symbiotic- though unanticipated- with other human, non-human, and more-than-human relationships, her work negotiates the undocumented oral knowledge and unwritten information as a form of personal myth and world-building.

Teachworth compellingly opens up the possibilities of absorptive processes of materialization, simultaneously questioning the production of meaning, knowledge, and making. Hence her works rather resemble the formats of invitations, where the concepts of juxtaposition between “natural” vs. “artificial,” “human” vs. “non-human,” and “social” vs. “technological” have space to be investigated and negotiated rather than fixed in a defined paradigm. With her textual examination of the variabilities, Teachworth acknowledges the intimate interconnection of all beings.

Analisa Teachworth 1987 is a multidisciplinary artist working between New York City and Berlin whose practice incorporates sculpture, installation, digital media, sounds, and painting.
