DWMC (Dead White Men’s Clothes) is a young Women’s und Men’s Wear Label, established by Jojo Gronostay in 2017.

The exclusive and unique pieces of the Spring/Summer collection 2018 were selected with great care from the Kantamanto Market in Accra, Ghana and carry the specific philosophy of the label: each of the effortless and simultaneously exquisite pieces is a powerful and nonconformist aesthetic statement, conveys the history of its materials’ origin, and promises absolute individuality.

The name of the fashion label derives from the Ghanaian term „obroni wawu“ and can be translated into Dead White Men’s Clothes. When first surges of second-hand clothes came into the country from the West, the residents of Ghana could not believe that such high quality clothing could be for free and assumed that someone must have died.
